This is an excellent example of an AC 45 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in February of 1945. It’s a rare sub-variation with capital ‘A’ suffix in the serial on the frame. Only ~5,500 P.38s feature this odd design change. This one is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a softshell police holster (un-issued condition) and a rare late-war “U” marked magazine. The entire gun has a dark, almost black finish, so we believe it has been “dipped”. It has retained virtually all of this finish with tiny handling marks under the finish on both sides of the slide. Comes with nice black bakelite grips that appear to have been cut down. Very nice bore with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
